Artesian Bore

Built around 100 years ago, this Artesian bore is located to the south of the town on the road toward Normanton, it remains as one of the really interesting bores in Queensland. This is a great location for bird watching. The bore looks more like a modern sculpture now, rather than just a bore supplying hot water. The pond and ground around the bore has been coloured over the years by the minerals in the water.
